Foundation Special Events

Hanley Center Foundation sponsors a number of special events each year designed to bring donors, alumni, and friends of Hanley Center together to socialize and have fun while raising money for a great cause. We offer two golf tournaments as well as a Family Luncheon, one of the season's true family events. Summer is here – and we're back to entice you to join us for the summer's "coolest" golf event that is sporting a new name this year. On Saturday, September 27, Hanley Center Foundation will hold its 8th annual Scramble for Recovery at PGA National Golf Club in Palm Beach Gardens. As you know, few tournament offer so much for so little with a day that includes a continental breakfast, green fees, golf balls, complimentary beverages on the course, a specially embroidered golf shirt compliments of Proforma Sunshine State, a silent auction, prize drawings, awards luncheon – and a certificate to return for a free round of golf for four players on either the Haig, Squire, Estate or General Courses at PGA National Golf Club.

The 2008 Scramble for Recovery will help raise money for Hanley Center's Lifesaver Patient Aid Fund. This special fund provides vital financial assistance to those seeking treatment for alcoholism or chemical dependency but are unable to afford treatment due to limited financial resources or restrictions on insurance coverage. Each year, more than 50 people receive treatment thanks to the Lifesaver Patient Aid Fund. The tournament will also continue to support the Center's well-known Prevention Programs that strive to prevent alcoholism and addiction in children throughout the state. Nearly 20,000 children and adults participate in these acclaimed programs each year.
